CSJ looks to defeat Eagles at home

College of St. Joseph's volleyball team plays their final home game against Green Mountain College on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7pm.

The Green Mountain Eagles are 5-8 overall in their first season as a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) team. They have matched up against three common opponents with CSJ: UMaine Machias (a 3-0 win), Unity College (3-1 win) and New Hampshire Technical Institute (3-1 win).

CSJ split with Machias this season, losing their first game of the season 3-1 to the Clippers before defeating them 3-0 on Sept. 15. On Sept. 30, the Lady Saints played Unity and fell 3-0. A week later, they dropped a close 3-2 contest to the Unity Rams. CSJ fell twice to NHTI by the score of 3-0.

The Lady Saints are 6-7 overall and 5-7 in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play after picking up two crucial victories at home on Sunday, Oct. 7. CSJ defeated #3 Paul Smith's College 3-0 (25-18 /25-11 /25-21) and #2 Great Bay Community College 3-1 (25-19 /26-24 /25-27 /25-15).
