College of St. Joseph's women's volleyball team hosts a tournament featuring Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) competitors on Sunday, Oct. 7. The Lady Saints play Paul Smith's College (PSC) at 11 am and Great Bay Community College (GBCC) at 1 pm.
CSJ and PSC previously faced off Oct. 3. The score was tied 1-1 after the first two sets, but the Bobcats ultimately won 3-1. While PSC won the first set 26-24, the Lady Saints bounced back with a 25-14 showing to take the second set. PSC was able to pull away in the final two sets to take the 3-1 win. Ryann Agnew, Jordan Mixon, Grace Hatin and Denyke Nicholas led CSJ in digs, kills, assists and service aces. Read a full recap of the game by clicking here.
CSJ and Great Bay matched up on Sept. 30 in a tournament played at Unity College. GBCC recorded a 3-0 win over the Saints in a competitive match. They took each set 25-22, 25-13, and 25-20. The Herons are 8-1 this season and lead the YSCC in wins.
CSJ is 4-5 on the season and 3-5 in conference play. PSC is 8-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play. This weekend's games will be telling in who will earn spots in the YSCC Tournament on Oct. 20.
