Dymond Collins has been selected by College of St. Joseph as female Athlete of the Week for the final week of the winter sports regular season action. Dymond is a first-year Criminal Justice student at CSJ from Chester, Pa. Over the past week, the Pennsylvania native has averaged 8.75 points, seven rebounds per game and 2.5 assists per game. Against Rivier University on Feb. 8, Dymond was just shy of a double-double after recording 10 points, eight rebounds. In a 66-59 win over UMaine-Presque Isle on Feb. 10, she pulled down nine board and scored six points. Dymond was a strong presence in a 65-53 loss at UMaine-Fort Kent, as she tallied seven points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. On Tuesday, Feb. 13, she led the Lady Saints with 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 58-52 win over Vermont Tech. Dymond has made her presence known from her first game as a Fighting Saint. She has been a consistent contributor on the court for CSJ, starting all but two contests. She is third on the team in scoring, averaging 9.9 points per game, and in rebounding, averaging 5.5 rebounds per game. As a forward, Dymond see the floor exceptionally well and averages 1.4 assists per game, good for third-most on the squad. She also averages 1.2 steals per game and shoots 31.9 percent from the floor.
