CSJ hosts Fort Kent Saturday

College of St. Joseph's men's basketball team will host UMaine Fort-Kent Saturday Dec. 8 at 4pm. The women's teams will play beforehand at 2pm.

Fort Kent plays Division I competitor UMass-Lowell on Friday, Dec. 7 in Massachusetts before traveling to Vermont to play the Saints. The Bengals are 3-8 after a 92-69 win against UMaine-Machias on Dec. 4. CSJ played Machias on Nov. 4 and won 82-80.

Senior Jarid Walton averages 15.3 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Bengals. Senior Johnathon Caldwell averages 13.1 points per game, 1.5 steals a game, and 5.8 rebounds per game. Troy Williams averages 11 points per game, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

CSJ is 5-9 after a Wednesday night loss, 127-102, to Vermont Technical College. Mickalous Snowden scored 40 points and Charles Isaac Jr. had 18.

Saturday's contest marks the last game of the year for the Fighting Saints. Their next game will be at home on Friday, Jan. 11 against Villa Maria College.
