Fighting Saints travel to Green Mountain Saturday

College of St. Joseph's men's basketball team plays at Green Mountain College (GMC) on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3:30pm. The CSJ women's team will play GMC at 5:30 pm.

The Eagles are 3-1 this year and have faced two common opponents with the Saints. On Nov. 8, GMC defeated Fisher College 76-55 at home. Jerome Dixon came off the bench to score 13 points for the Eagles. Matt Hess recorded 10 points, eight rebounds and a block.

CSJ has matched up with Fisher College twice this season. On Nov. 16, CSJ defeated Fisher 82-73 at a tournament hosted by UMass Boston. On Nov. 28, the Saints fell to the Falcons 110-90 in Boston.

On Nov. 28, GMC faced Northern Vermont University-Johnson and won 88-50. Greg Alexander and Alex Sanchez led the Eagles with 15 points, eight rebounds and 15 points, 7 rebounds, respectively. Sean Leflore recorded nine points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Saints played NVU-Johnson on Nov. 8 and won 80-74. Charles Isaac Jr. scored 24 points and Adley Eliacin had 20. Mickalous Snowden recorded 14 points and Brian Kennedy came off the bench to score 15.

The Green Mountain game will be good preparation for the Fighting Saints before they travel to play USCAA powerhouse Berkeley-NYC on Sunday, Dec. 2.
