College of St. Joseph's men's basketball team will look to extend their win streak to three on Thursday, Nov. 8. The Fighting Saints play Northern Vermont University (NVU) - Johnson at 7:30pm at the NVU-Lyndon campus. The contest is part of the Northern Vermont University Classic.
CSJ and Johnson faced each other once in the 2017-18 season. The Badgers took the contest 79-63 on their home court. The Fighting Saints struggled offensively, shooting 37.7 percent from the field, 12.5 percent from three and 37.5 percent from the free throw line. Charles Isaac led CSJ in scoring with seven points and also recorded seven rebounds, one assist and one steal. Mickalous Snowden had six points, four rebounds.
NVU-Johnson is not returning any starters from last season's squad. Returning Badger Robert Dubose saw 10 minutes off the bench in last year's matchup. Returner Donell Shaw recorded two rebounds and one assist in seven minutes of play.
The Fighting Saints have played three contests this year. They fell 86-84 in their season opener at Columbia Greene Community College on Nov. 2. On Nov. 3, CSJ defeated Berkshire Community College 105-69. The following day, the Fighting Saints recorded an 82-80 win at UMaine Machias. Thursday's game is NVU-Johnson's season opener.
