Men's basketball starts season at Columbia Greene

College of St. Joseph's men's basketball team travels to Columbia Greene Community College (CGCC) on Friday, Nov. 2 to kick-off their 2018-2019 season at the Goldberg Classic Tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday in Hudson, N.Y. The Fighting Saints will also play on Saturday, Nov. 3. Results of Friday's tournament games will determine matchups and game times for Saturday.

The CGCC Twins finished the 2017-18 season 11-16. After playing with a six-person roster last season, CGCC has recruited a 15-player roster for this season with brand new faces.

CSJ's 2017-18 season ended by way of a 110-82 loss to Villa Maria College in the Northeastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference semifinals on Feb. 23. The Fighting Saints will look to improve upon last season's 2-22 record.

This year's CSJ squad features five returners: Mickalous Snowden, DQ Abernathy, Charles Isaac Jr., Joseph Ruby, and Junior FanFan. Nine new additions will also be a large part of the Fighting Saints' success to come.
